You have now completed the invoice. To see what the invoice will look like, click on the preview icon on the Tool Bar.
Your invoice is now showing and you can see how it will look printed. If you find that the logo is too high and the top part is ‘cut off’, simply close the preview, click on the logo and using your arrow keys reposition it.
When you are finished and are happy with the way the invoice looks you can then save it.
It is recommended that you use the ‘Save As’ option as you can then name the invoice. This option comes in very handy when you have more than one company. All can then be saved under each companies name.
Hint: To delete a logo picture on the invoice you cannot just highlight the picture and press delete on your keyboard, you must right click on the picture and select the option delete.
Let’s assume that you have your selected invoice type open (for example, INCIPLN). If you click on a Text Field (for instance, Company Name) you will see that you are able to move the Text Box.
On the Tool Bar is an icon for Form Properties. Click on the icon and the Form Properties Box will open. First make sure that the Paper Size for your Invoice is correct. The size used most is A4.
Click on the Options Tab. Here you will see that the invoice (or form) is comprised of Grids. You are given the option to have Text boxes ‘Snap to Grids’ (‘Snapping to’ is a Desktop Publishing Term) — this comes in handy if you want to have all text boxes lining up. Here you can also change the size of the grids.
Should you leave ‘Snap to Grid’ unticked, you are then able to move Text boxes anywhere in the form/invoice.
A Handy Hint: You can use the arrows on your keyboard to move the Text box once it is highlighted.
There are a couple of ways to copy and paste a logo into your invoice.
Click on the Picture Tool Icon on your Toolbar, then click on the place where you’d like the logo to go on the invoice or form. You will see a Picture/Image icon is now on your invoice/form. You can either double click on the Picture/Image icon on your invoice/form, or right click with your mouse and select Properties.
If you select Properties, the Field Properties Box will appear. Make sure that you have your logo picture saved in a Word document. Right click on your logo, select Copy and go back to MYOB and select Paste. If you have successfully done this you will see the logo in the Preview Box.
If your logo appears to be too small on your form/invoice, simply move your mouse to the corner of your logo and click and drag to the required size.
